This book firstly fellowship how the Lord needs to gain His ministers first before He can have His ministry of His Word. After some time as a believer, we can become very busy and occupied. Our work, family housekeeping, activities in the ‘church life’, often found in survival mode rather in Christ. Reading this book exposed me how much I need to be recovered back to the central line of His economy our stewardship, our main occupation which is to minister Christ for the building up of His Body.

I visit different localities (on work trip), and observe the desperate need of the Word. It is not because there is not enough noise at the meetings, but I observe that His Word is short, contaminated and sometimes watered down. I lament. Shall we wait for some visiting brothers to come? Or that bi-annual training or gospel meeting to arrive? Or we reject our excuses and pick up that Book? We the working saints are the generation to bear the church. If we can spend 40-60 hours week working, we ought to spend much more to be His minister. It might take 10 years or more before there might be a little gain, but we need to start or regret later.

This book very much touch me. Highly recommended for those want to be useful for His economy.

This book is simple, practical and rich all at the same time. I pray-read this book with a dear sister almost everyday and we completed it in about 2 months. My entire life has never been the same. Now I enjoy praying and reading the Word of God, and each time I contact the Word, I am able to enjoy the Lord and touch His reality so much closer. “Now in order to receive, realize, and
experience Christ as our life, we must know the Word and how to transfer the Word into the life-giving Spirit.” Through the messages in this book, we can practise in this way of life!

Very enjoyable book! God said “I am…the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” in Old Testament, and “I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob” in New Testament. Why is that so? I was very impressed by how Bro Nee brought us to see the significance for God’s people to have the same life experience of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Read it, you will be very enlightened! May the Lord continue to bring us into such an experience, eventually we can be transformed and fully conformed to the image of Christ, expressing Him in a corporate way.

Gal 2:20 It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This book has enlightened me so much, about being a normal Christian, to live a normal Christian life. It uplifted my understanding of book of Romans, about sin and sins, the accomplished work of Christ on the cross, the flesh and the spirit, the cross and soul life, the eternal purpose of God, the goal of the gospel, etc. This is also life-changing book to many Christians throughout the whole world. Highly recommended!

Very enlightening book! It illustrates very clearly the differences between promises, facts, and covenant. Praise God that He made covenant with man. Every Christian should be clear about what covenant God has made, what are the characteristics of the content of the covenant, and enter into the experience of God’s covenanted grace. This is a must-get book!

I enjoyed reading this book very much, and I have read it for 3 times within 10years or so, started from when I was still a new believer. Song of Songs is very hard to understand (at least for me), but with this book, I get to see the significances of every chapter, verse to verse. It’s very eye-opening, and very nourishing spiritually. Song of Songs is the only book which talks about our personal relationship with the Lord is different stages: as new believer, gradually growing up to pursue the Lord, to serve, to search for the Lord as if He’s gone (actually, He’s always there!), to not to rely on her natural strength anymore, all her love is now depending on His all-defeating, all-conquering love, eventually being made ready to be raptured! How wonderful! It’s a very sweet book that you would like to read it over and over again, and be immersed with His love deeper and deeper in our spiritual growth. Praise the Lord for the Song Of Songs!

As I read the first two chapters of this book, I thank the Lord for Nee’s fellowship because I need the recovery back to the Person of Christ. Many times I feel I am caught by many things like church’s problems, conditions, burdens, Lord’s move, works, all sorts of know-hows, talents and capabilities – all these distract me time after time to miss the mark. So many times I am missing the Person of Christ. Nee’s fellowship points out that without the Person, there is no work. In chapter two, Nee recalibrates me to who He is – “The Lord can resurrect man, but He did not say, ‘I will resurrect the dead.’ Instead, He said, ‘I am the resurrection.’ … But the Lord does not want to show us what He will do; He wants to show us who He is. What He can do is based on who He is.” As we grow and mature in life, we should no longer seek for outward things that confirm the existence of Christ, rather we should endeavour to gain subjective knowing of the Person of Christ through our experience and enjoyment of Him day by day, in death and life, in abundance and lack. This is beyond knowledge or theology or memorisation, or miraculous stories of His work, rather this is what apostle John says : “I write to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning.” (1 John 2:13a)

A truly enlightening book depicting Watchman Nee’s (WN) Christian life; his struggles, trials & gains! It took me eons to pick up this book but I’m glad I finally did. Before reading this book, I had always placed WN on a pretty high pedestal, assuming that he was always triumphant in his Christian life and journey, and that it was hard for me to relate to since I’m fully aware my Christian life is nothing like his. It was only through reading then I realized that he’s just like any of us. We struggle in our pursue of the truth, we get sidetracked so many times that we lost count, and we get influenced by people, environment, media (in short, the world). So did he! Whatever we went through and/or are going through, he had already experienced, and maybe leaps and bounds more! His countless experiences was not only an awakening of sorts for me (pertaining to my Christian life), but still are. I am not alone. We are not alone. We ALWAYS have Christ to depend on. I honestly experienced a myriad of emotions when I read through the book, all of which penetrated deep into my being and let me view matters in a different, new, clearer light.

The All-inclusive Christ is based on 5 verses in Deuteronomy 8:6-10. Without reading this book, I would never be able to understand the spiritual significance of the good land revealed in the Old Testament. I don’t have enough words to express all the riches I got from reading this book.

In this book, we see the good land God promised to bring His people into is a type of Christ. All the items mentioned in the good land typify different aspects of Christ. The orders of the items how the Holy Spirit reveals represent the different stage of spiritual life. By seeing the riches of the good land, we are also provided the ways to possess the good land seen in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. There are ways and principles to possess the land. If we want to reach the goal of God, we need to know how we can possess the land as the all-inclusive Christ.

Whenever I read this book, I am always encouraged to continue to press on to enjoy and experience Christ in many aspects of my Christian life.

“Every time we read the Bible, we need to put what we have read and understood into prayer. If we spend ten minutes for reading, we should spend at least fifteen minutes for prayer. We need to pray more in order to receive what we read into our spirit. “ (p.19 )

This portion helped me to see we need balance in both reading the word and praying. Our reading and praying should go together.

This book is amazing. Many believers do not know what to do after they got saved. After our salvation, we may just think we just need to go to the church service, read the Bible and learn how to pray. This book gives a detailed description on different stages of Christian life. After a believer was saved, he needs to continue to advance in his Christian life. This book provides step by step help in both the knowledge of the Word of God and experience of the truth for believers to advance. Eventually, believers would need to reach the stage that is mature in life and fully able to carry out God’s will.
